Saint-Gobain Pipelines South Africa, previously known as Besaans-du Plessis Foundry, has been manufacturing Cast Iron products for the building and civil construction industry since 1946 in South Africa.
Saint-Gobain Pipelines South Africa employs 580 people and the management are set to uplift its workforce through employment equity and a Skills Development Program.
The Company is based in Pretoria West Industrial site with two Foundry operations and a Sales Office. Furthermore to this, Saint-Gobain Pipelines South Africa has three sales / distribution warehouses: Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Durban with an additional agency in Bloemfontein.
Saint-Gobain Pipelines South Africa has the distinction that it manufactures a complete range of manhole covers and frames specified under SABS 558 as well as stormwater gratings and frames specified under SABS 1115.
To assure the customer that the product will withstand the required loading, Saint-Gobain Pipelines South Africa has a permit to apply the certification mark of SABS 1034 for Grey Iron castings and SABS 936 for Ductile Iron castings.
Apart from the mentioned SABS products, Saint-Gobain Pipelines South Africa carries numerous products of its own design to satisfy customer requirements.
Saint-Gobain Pipelines supply gravity drainage systems for the building industry in accordance to ISO 6594 in sizes 50mm – 300mm in diameter with a full range of fittings and couplings to match. Further to this, we also supply Ductile Iron pipe for the water and sewer reticulation networks in sizes 60mm – 2m in diameter.
The new product range is continually expanded to move with modern building & civil trends and consumer requirements.
